New Music Video to Debut This Month

After a long absence from the Christian radio charts, John Mandeville has garnered a #2 song on the Billboard Soft AC chart, marking his 12th top ten radio hit and his first top five song as a solo artist. "Glorify" is the first single from Mandeville's self-produced debut CD, WE BELONG TO HEAVEN, on Mandeville's I.P.O. Records.

The song has remained in the top ten for fourteen straight weeks and in the top five for seven weeks. A music video single of "Glorify" will be serviced to video shows later this month (see video here: Glorify Video).

WE BELONG TO HEAVEN, which released to mainstream stores via Sony/RED Distribution/Thompkins Media Group earlier in 2009, will be serviced to Christian retail by BEMA/Provident Distribution beginning this month. Additionally, the CD has been added to the Integra Interactive Media BurnBar kiosks in over 350 U.S. stores. The album is currently nominated for Contemporary Christian Album of the Year for the 2009 Independent Music Awards.

Mandeville is closing a strong year at radio with the release of an original Christmas song entitled "Christmas Is You," which was added to the play lists of over 50 stations within hours of release. The song became a family affair as Mandeville's wife and daughters sang background vocals for the tune that Mandeville says came from a simple moment of gratitude.

"I was reflecting on an incredible year of so much to be thankful for, especially during the holidays," says Mandeville. "I wanted to write a song that would help me focus on heaven during a season that can become so distracting. More than shopping, friends, or even making memories with family -- Christmas is ultimately about Jesus and how He has made all of the other blessings I enjoy possible."

Mandeville's music video for "Glorify" will release to video shows nationwide this month. Mandeville will also appear on The 700 Club on CBN in December, sharing his story of redemption after surviving bankruptcy, addiction and marital problems. He and his wife Shelli talk candidly in the interview about their marriage.

Expanding on Mandeville's 2009 support at Soft AC radio, "Glorify" is being re-mixed and will be released to AC radio stations in January 2010. A follow-up single from the project will be serviced to Soft AC stations next year as well.

Mandeville is one of Christian music's most acclaimed songwriters, writing and producing hits for artists such as Avalon, 4HIM, Point of Grace, and Tammy Trent, among others. Prior to "Glorify," Mandeville had multiple #1 songs, and earned three Dove Award nominations for Song of the Year with "Jesus Will Still Be There," which was included in CCM Magazine's 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music.
