In 1972 the band Petra formed with one mission in mind - to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In 1974 they released their self titled debut. Now nearly 30 years later Petra has decided to say Farewell. This album is a live recording of one of the band's final concerts. Featuring fan favorites, band favorites, and even the return of Greg X. Volx as a guest.

Petra opens up their set with "All About Who You Know." A slow rock song from Petra's arsenal, it's a great opening song, which sets the mood of the entire evening. The concert gets rockier with "Dance" but has its more worshipful moments with "Amazing Grace" as well as their acoustic set featuring classic songs such as "No Doubt, Rose Colored Stained Glass," "Road to Zion," "More Power To Ya" and others.

The band goes back to a classic rock sound with "Beyond Belief" which then leads into a guitar solo featuring Bob Hartman. They end their concert with "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered," which puts the exclamation point on Petra's history and career. It's an "in your face" real song about Christian love and what it means to be a Christian.

The set is nothing short of amazing. It's a simple message delivered with a rock/pop sound while still catering to Pet-Heads of all ages. Farewell wraps up Petra's 30-year career in an hour of memories, which only gives you a peek into the history of the men who came together to make history in the process of carrying out God's mission. This album is a must have for all, whether new or seasoned, Petra fans.
