Said to be the inspiration for the album title, "Love Song" is reminiscent of a Psalm, sung with a British pop sound. The song covers the basis of living our lives as a love song to God, not just worshipping Him through singing, but proving our love to Him through our actions as well. Their first radio single, "Nothing But the Blood," includes a beautiful piano and drum partnership that updates Matt Redman’s original piece. Other covers include Delirious’ "Rain Down," Tim Hughes’ "When the Tears Fall," Paul Baloche’s "Your Name," and Hillsong’s "What the World Will Never Take," and my favorite on the album, "Salvation is Here." The extensive use of piano mixed with The Swift’s smooth vocals make this an easy and enjoyable listen. If you like coming home from worship and listening to different versions of the songs you sang, you are sure to enjoy this modern worship band’s versions of each song. |
